Farewell Old Friend

Well, it happened.

I stuck it on ebay and it got sold. Still not used to going in the garage and not seeing it in there.

It was sold for what I wanted, which was more or less what it cost me to build up to the SVA test (but not the subsequent mucking around); so reasonably happy that hobby ended up costing around £3/week:D

We are in the processof getting Regs drawings done for extensio then on with that.

I mentioned to wife about building another car (from a kit this time, be quicker) and got the ok. I suspect she wasn't really listening:D

I'll be talking to a certain manufacturer at Detling letting them know my thoughts and getting their opinion; though I won't be buying for a year of so.

Anyway, as far as Deimos is concerned; yep I miss it, hope that the buyer Jason from Maidstone takes care of it but enjoys it nonetheless.

I may use this blog for the next car or start a new one, so in the words of that literary great, Tigger

Sad Times

Well, I have finally decided that it was time for the car to go - I really do not want to sell but I got it mot'd back in October and that was when I last used it. I've done more miles on my bicycle in the last two years than I have in the 6 years the car has been road legal.

So, we are, as I posted a year or two back going to get on with the extension to the house as eldest boy starts secondary school later this year and it'd be nice for him and his bro' to have their own rooms. As such, toy car will be in the way during the build and the money really is required towards the costs of building work.

It's been on ebay for the last 36 hours and has already reached reserve, so it's going regardless and the more I think about it, the more depressed I get.

While I don't use it much, it's been a big part of my life for the last nearly ten years.

Sad Times indeed.
